With deep sorrow we share the news of the passing away of
Prof. Dr. Roman Micnas
on 13 January 2022, aged 74.
A scientist with broad knowledge and excellent scientific achievements in many areas of theoretical solid state physics. Professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Full Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Dean of Division III: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the scientific Council of the Institute of Molecular Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and member of many other profesional bodies and scientific societies.
He will remain in our memory in a special way as the main organizer and co-chairman of the series of meetings "The European Conference PHYSICS OF MAGNETISM" between 1993 and 2021. It was thanks to his untiring work, personal charm and prestige that it became a first rank event and attracted hundreds of specialists from every continent, including Nobel Prize winners.
We have lost a person of great diligence, modesty and culture. We sincerely sympathize with all those affected by his death.

The PM'21 Conference was originally planned as PM'20.
The European Conference PHYSICS OF MAGNETISM 2021 (PM'21) will be held on June 28 - July 2 in Poznań, Poland. The current event is going to be the sixteenth in a series which started in 1975. The conference aims to be an international forum for the presentation and discussion of novel scientific ideas in the field of broadly understood magnetism and magnetic materials.
The meeting is organized jointly by the Institute of Molecular Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences and the Faculty of Physics, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań.
